EXPIRED Vax S87-T2 poss £25 at Argos

I got one today from the Southport store. However it was a vax but a cheaper one £60 reduced to 50. Feel a bit cheated if everyone getting the £100 one.

For those wondering if argos are still offering a substitute, I can confirm the branch in bolton are. Reserved mine last night after coming across this thread and picked it up this evening which is a SS8 model. This a cheaper one than the earlier versions, however still cost more than £25 and although it's been previously returned (Sellotape on box, water tank damp inside) it works perfectly fine, you still get 2 years guarantee, but best of all, this model comes with two mop heads instead of the usual one!

I think we might have problems if we need to get any repair/replacement under the guarantee. The receipt shows the Steamworks one (at least mine does), so not sure how we could convince Vax we have a genuine guarantee. Argos might honour it but not so sure about Vax.

Still worth a chance for £25.

I read about this in Martin's weekly email a little while ago and tried to get one locally with no success. I still needed one so i logged in yesterday and reserved the last Steamworks model available in Orpington. When I picked it up I was really surprised to see that they'd given me the Vax SS-8. :j

I can't believe they're still doing this - why isn't it just marked as unavailable rather than supplying more expensive models?

FYI When I looked yesterday, there was one available in Bromley.

I bought one in leeds yesterday, he mentioned they had 15 in stock (the box was damaged and I asked him if he could change it) I will be returning for one more today....why has this not been un-expired?
