Hi! I reserved the last one in the Enfield area on Wednesday and have just picked it up! I am more interested in Carpet refreshing rather than hard floors. Does anyone know if it is safe on Vinyl kitchen flooring - it only mentions lino? It comes with the Carpet Glider in the box but it doesn't mention this anywhere on the box. It is not the type which can be used hand-held with multiple attachments - it looks as though it is just for floors. The box was in perfect condition and the store staff in Argos didn't know anything about the substitution - they were all amazed that I was getting a Vax for £25 - need to buy some more microfibre head covers as there is only one included. Good luck - I tried all the stores in the North London/South Herts area and think I found the last one but you may be lucky. Hope so!

    Yes, it's safe for vinyl.

I've used a steam mop before and it did a good job of refreshing carpets - I put a couple of drops of Zoflora in the water (Poundland - in the disinfectants). Probably not supposed to but I can't see it would do any harm, and as I'm doubtful if the guarantee would hold good, given the receipt is for a different item, I decided it's worth a chance.

If you need any further info you can download a manual from the Vax website.

Tesco have a pack of 2 replacement microfibre cloths at half price £7.50. If you have clubcard vouchers you can double them up for this item, so really you are paying £3.75 for a pack of 2.
Sainsburys have Vax S2 Series Coral Cleaning Pads, at half price, £7.99 instead of £15.99.
Not sure if they fit, but will ask when I collect them on Monday.

Out of stock in all local stores but ordered online and delivered today. Vac is. £99.99 today in sainsburys. Yippee !! Thank you everyone
  • Ok, so after looking all over the place I've found 3 in Bournemouth Ringwood Road. I've reserved all 3, till the end of tomorrow. Trouble is that I can't travel that far to pick them up. So if anyone wants one what I'm proposing is that I can give you the reservation number and you pick up the 3 I've reserved. I then pay for the 1 or 2 that are left and the postage for them!
