You can put it on for whatever you want? If someone is 1% then go with them and put it on for the higher value. The same people will see it???
True, and exactly what I thought but when I asked the agent offering 1% if they would market my house at the asking price I wanted they pretty much refused - their valuation was £20k below the other 3 I had - I would suspect my house is overpriced if I didnt know this particular agent always undervalues to get a quicker sale. I didnt want to go with an agent that didnt want to sell my house?0 -
Typical estate agents charge between 1 per cent and 3 per cent of the value of your home, or an average of around £2,500 to £7,000, the cost savings Wow delivers are huge. The company is able to offer these savings by removing expensive high-street shops that are no longer visited, and doing away with expensive “door openers” to show people around properties – 97% of people think it’s not important to have an agent to do this job.

from a press release by wow property, another cheap provider is brightsale at 0.5% there's quite a few more cheap ones out there, as well as expensive
I would guess 1-3% sounds fair, but it can go as high as 5%, in some cases?0 -
Carter Jonas are another posh one round Yorkshire and around the country, they charge 2%, but then they charge you extra for all the paper advertising and the colour brochures they do.
Savills and Simon Blythe are also posh agents who mainly get all the big houses.0
