I already bought trousers last year in the sale, so dont need to worry about them.
I bought my youngest sons white polo shirts in the sale last year too.
So, for him i just need to get:
Coat
Shoes
PE T-shirt
PE Shorts
Socks
School Logo Jumper
My oldest son is now at Secondary School, and the prices are stupid for his uniform. He needs:
Short Sleeve T-Shirt
Long Sleeve T-Shirt
Socks-Rugby
Rugby Shirt
Jumper (but wont buy it yet, he never wears it and they cost £18 each )
Shoes
Stationary.
Is everyone else more organised than me?

Both need at least one more pair of trousers (currently have 2 each) and pe shorts. 13yo son also needs
white shirts
school jumpers - only available from school on teacher training days!
may also get an additional tie - availability ditto
stationery- but probs loads lying round house
new shoes
probably new football boots
current trainers prob ok
10yo daughter
maybe new shoes
new coat - hers has ripped. Not buying teen one till weather dictates it cos he either doesn't wear it or it gets lost somewhere!0 -
What do I still have to buy?
All of it. (we plan to go shopping in the next couple of days)0 -
Thank Goodness i am not the only one who hasn't finished it all
Black trainers for my oldest is are really hard to find. They have to be all black, no other colour at all. Preferably velcro. Must be sporty, and he is a mens size 8.5.
Have found some for my younger son though.0 -
Because that is the Uniform. I bought a pair of black ones last year and it has a white tick on the side (Nike),and ended up having to colour the tick in with black permanent marker as he got a detention for not adhering to the uniform.
I'm all for Uniforms, but that seems a little extreme to me.0 -

Nope, just for normal uniform.0 -
He has to wear trainers because he has trouble with laces, and YES they are allowed to wear trainers.
I know, shocking stuff.0 -
It was the same when i was at school, no trainers and only shoes. Seems to be quite commonplace to allow trainers these days.0

DD1: Coat (will see if the old one fits first though)
Boots

PE bag
DD2: School Bag
Drink ContainerWhat's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -

I remember getting a proper telling off for having the wrong colour socks on one day! I only left school in 2008 too so hardly way back when or anything.0 -
Finished. All bought and organised. Good job too, as she went back to school last week!
However, after the demands for money that arrived home in her school bag today (£140 for one trip, £20 for another, £10 for a swimming trip!!!) I'm beginning to wish she hadn't gone back yet!0
