Make sure you have a national health card and insurance and check the excess of the insurance

Don't forget the 100ml rule for liquids....

This rule only applies with hand luggage I thought? I would be putting it in our suitcase.

Diluting juice?? Do you actually mean juice concentrate or just part juice, part sugar solution ?
Certainly wouldn't give my children the latter. You can buy five litre 100% juice cartons for perhaps 6€. Why would you skimp on that?
We actually bought a Philips citrus juicer for 17€ and bought oranges at 0.56€ per kg. Fresh orange juice every day. Also had five litre bottles of water at hand.
Don't feed the kids crap. Stock up from the supermarket and ake a packed lunch to the beach with you. You don't need to spend a lot to have a good time.

There are far worse things to be allowing my children to drink than squash. If i just gave my kids 100% fruit juice to drink they would never be off the loo! I dont feed my kids crap, very little processed food in our house. We are half board and in a room not an apartment so no facilities to make lunches up.

You'll be fine, the children are young and being half board and you will have control over what they eat and drink, most hotels these days do provide alternatives to chicken nuggets, chips and fizzy drinks.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

Juice and water, but not sugar filled rubbish. Squash? It is anything but. Just a generic name for cheap rubbish with preservatives.
I believe you for when it comes to processed foods, so no need to slum it when it comes to drinks.
I'm used to having a fridge in the room. What else do you need? You have children, you can improvise. ;)

Hope you have a fun trip.
  • We found that Salou wasn't overly expensive food wise if you want to eat out.
I'd put at least 10/15 euros aside each for portaventura, especially if you are not planning to make sandwiches at breakfast to take with you. Last years 2 day ticket cost around £50 I think, cant remember exactly but I remember it being dearer than the year before! Also, I know you say your hotel is 10 mins walk from the park, but be aware there is a hill up to the park from resort.
When you get there I suggest finding the nearest Michelangelo supermarket, they are reasonably priced and do nice fresh pastries!
