Just a good old sauce sandwich. White pre sliced bread, loads of butter and then tomato ketchup or brown sauce. YUM!

Yep, I used to have ketchup or salad cream ones

Instant noodles and salad cream, cheap and quick lunch!

Still love cheese and onion crisp sandwiches, or prawn cocktail crisps and ham sandwiches.

I've never been a fan of cream, but I absolutely adore Carnation (evaporated) milk ...... on strawberries, blueberries, well on all berries, but it's best on jelly!!! At my birthday parties when I was a kid, everyone else would have jelly and ice-cream and my Mum would give me jelly and Carnation milk!! Just soooooooooooo gorgeous!!! I have also been known to just drink it straight from the tin!!! :D

OMG I love love love evaporated milk!! I always buy it and have it in coffee sometimes and sometimes I have it on Alpen with a banana and some sugar:o I also like it whisked into jelly, poured on cheap shop bought sponge with tinned fruit and on porridge - it's nicer than cream or ice cream IMO!!

  • What is evaporated milk? Is it sacrilegious to even ask?

Do LOVE condensed milk though, I can eat it off the spoon

Evap is quite different to condensed, although condensed is nice too!! Evap is not sweet - it really has a taste all of its own!!

No added sugar in Evap, you can water it down to make 'real' milk if you need to but I've never tried it (condensed milk might be a little too sweet if you don't take sugar in your tea/coffee  ).
I've got a few tins in my "Apocalypse Box" (was snowed in last year for a few weeks) for this reason, as if the tea stops flowing freely we might have to resort to cannibalism ;)

Evap tastes a bit like tinned rice pud IMHO - (which has to be eaten cold from the can).
Bubble and sqeek sandwiches, uncut bread, butter, chilli sauce and a fried egg.
Yes to the hot vimto. I used to have hot pineapple squash, which was luminous orange, down east street market. Wouldn't be as good now as the only pineapple squash I've seen is highjuice and that wouldn't be synthetic enough.
