credit card transfer problems - serious help!

Here is the deal:

I had to pay £3,500 off on my credit card. I was hoping then to open another credit card and do a 0% bank transfer. However, I also have a loan for £25k and I think that this affected me trying to open a Barclycard. I was offered a Barclaycard but I was only offered a maximum of £380 credit, therefore not being able to transfer the £3,5k. My plan was foiled!

So, I am currently paying £110 per month to pay off the £3.5k credit card.

Anyone got any advice? Is there a credit card that I can open that will have a 0% interest on a balance transfer and are likely to accept £3.5 k?

HELP!

I'd try IF Intelligent Finance. They gave me 3.900 and hubby 11k. Instant decision and credit limit online.

Another option might be M&S More

Discussion about it on this thread

From views on that forum, credit limits not overly generous, but have a look and see what you think

    Cheers

We were both rejected for m&s and scottish widows but got an IF card.
  • Is this a 0% balance transfer? Do you have a web address for this?

It's 0% on BT and purchases for 9 months. http://www.if.com/creditcard/offset_creditcard.asp is the website. Sorry in a rush. Hope this helps :)

Well, since its reached the panic stage, I would hit as many cards to hopefully get one or some that would cover the whole debt. Multiple card apps..

Still think from personal experience that IF is your best bet :)

thanks - I have gone for the IF one - need another few months at 0%
  • I have just followed the link to IF. I think it says you can't apply if you have RBS or Halifax cards, can somebody please confirm? If so, what is next best option for me? I currently have EGG, HALIFAX, ABBEY, BARCLAY AND CAP-1. I am going to cancel HALIFAX in June
    Don't waste your words I don't need,
    Anything from you.
    I don't care where you've been or,
    What you plan to do.

You can apply if you have RBS or Halifax but can't BT between them. You can always BT to EGG to gert funds into your current account. :D
