I do wonder sometimes why people become so uptight about what others do.
Did any of your ancestors live in France during the days of the Revolution? Maybe they had a front row seat at the guillotine watching the heads roll and giving up a big cheer.
I would suggest that everybody should get on with their own lives and not be too concerned about everyone else.
It's called social responsibility. Would you apply your creed if you saw someone assaulting another and causing them serious injury? How about witnessing a burglary?
Whilst I agree with the point made about accuracy of information I see no problem in reporting those who defraud the taxpayer i.e. us by taking benefits they are not entitled to.0 -

Nope don't agree at all.
After years of experience of 'getting involved' I have come to the conclusion that I don't now care what anybody else does. If they want to rip the benefit system off, good luck to them. If they want to pulverise each other, carry on.
I have lost count of the number of times in my life that I intervened in others problems. Husband & wife having a punch up on the street - I go in tackle the husband and put him down only to have the wife knock seven bells out of my head for hitting her husband - attempting to stop someone trying to steal a car - I restrain him and get slashed across my chest from his mate - tell a guy to stop swearing with women present - ended up in A&E with a broken arm.
Nope had enough they can damn well get on with it.0 -

Why would anyone object, unless they have something to hide?
i would have no problems with it.
those of us who depend on benefits have the right to some dignity,i wouldnt expect those in work to have their earnings publicised, and i wouldnt accept the same happening to those of us on benefits, which when you include ALL benefits is a large % of the population0 -

But what I think the poster was driving at is that benefits are paid for by those that are working and paying tax - some feel quite rightly in my opinion, that they would like to know where their money is going. Hence I have no qualms in telling anybody where my money comes from and how much I am getting and at the same time thanking those taxpayers for providing for me.
Those in work and paying the tax are not dependent on benefit recipients for their money - they are earning it from employment.0 -
