Sold item, but other member wants to collect..

    I sold something collection onlu and put cash only but they still paid by paypal. I refunded this and told them it was cash only and they were fine with it.

    At least if you have the cash in the hand it doesn't really matter what is going on. You have your money for the item.

    As said, paypal do not mess about, they have very strict rules, break them and they slam the door in your face.

    I mitigate against the whole collection, paypal issue by taking a pic of the buyer with the collected item and or have them sign a doc stating they collected xyz on xyz date. Never had a refusal yet. Overkill maybe but yet to have an issue with collector ripping me off.

    Got to say what a fab idea! Paypal are not perfect and they will always air of the side of the buyer. But picture and signature! Fab! Will be using that from now on!

    TBH, I'd be a bit taken aback if I went to collect something and somebody wanted to take a picture of me...... I'd politely decline.

    But then again, I'd be paying cash on collection and wouldn't be using Paypal, so hopefully this situation wouldn't happen
