I have a TV Licence. This is because I watch "live TV". For the avoidance of doubt, I also watch delayed TV but I wouldn't need a licence just for that. Obviously.
I would gladly pay double for my licence. I love my licence. It gives me a good feeling to have a licence. I know that I will not be harassed by C(r)apita.
There, I've said it.

I'd rather do time than give the BBC a single penny, can't stand them. Giving them money would be like buying a copy of their bible, the Guardian newspaper.
Saved a few grand over the years to, a few grand the BBC hasn't gotThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I cheerfully watch live TV also... it's bloomin' marvellous.
LOVE IT!:hello:0 -
Well things are changing. In the future those who want the BBC might have to fund it themselves

I have a TV licence, my choice.
I watch live TV.
I also watch catch up and streamed TV.
I like to come in a switch on the TV and watch, serf the channels, look for something that catches my eye.
I can't be arsed to plan my viewing and only watch everything on catch up (if everything I want to watch is on catch up).
My taxes go to pay for lots of things I don't agree with or use, that's life.
If you don't want to pay the licence fee, then fine, that is your choice and you have the means to do so legally.
My choice is my choice and my money.
(Is it ok to post this here or should I start a new thread?)0 -

Same here, one day I might feel like watching a good documentary so I'll choose that category on Youview and watch one (via catchup)RichardD1970 wrote: »My taxes go to pay for lots of things I don't agree with or use, that's life.
One biased broadcaster is hardly a public service though is it. If you break your leg you don't go to Media City!RichardD1970 wrote: »My choice is my choice and my money.
Agreed you have that 'choice' however I don't because I wont fund the BBC.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

But I don't always know what i want to watch, I like to surf through the channels and see what catches my eye.

Well that is your choice.
Anyway I like the BBC, (apart from when Wimbledon is on :rotfl:).
Edit, Oh you meant leg not left, that makes more sense.0 -

Lets make it fair and have people like you contribute towards those that prefer satellite or cable then.....................wait no you wouldn't like that would you
Yes we know the reason why people on the Left like the BBC and will say/do anything to protect itThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I have cable as well.
I am not on 'the Left'.
You know nothing about me so don't assume you do from a couple of posts on a forum.
As I said, it is my choice for my reasons. You make your choice for your reasons. I don't claim to know what your reasons are and don't care.
You are the ones who make a big issue out of this and try to score points and slag people off, not me.0
