Bit of a leap from "missing parcel" to "stolen by postman"One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Well, I only referred to Lagoon's post. I don't think there is a big chance for someone to use my surname when signing . Or is there?0

It all depends on the procedure used when the packages are delivered.
Whenever I get signed for items, I normally get handed the goods then the postie passes me the PDA for my signature.
I never normally even look at the name on the package and I normally just sign and hand the machine back.
However, If I was to glance at the name on the shipment before signing and notice that it was unknown to me, there wouldn't be anything to stop me scribbling that name on the PDA before passing it back.0 -
any update?0

Yes, I contacted them all ways possible - website, phone, by myself in the office - and for them the package was delivered meeting all the standards. Postman was about to leave P739 card, and he already filled it out, but then someone came and signed for the package. And they did all they could to help resolve the problem, but that's it.
I feel kinda bad for that identity theft but well.. things happen.
eBay seller already filled out and sent "Lost or Damaged Mail Claim Form P58" which could provide me a refund of the item. That's the last thing I can hope for. Thank you for all the answers guys!0 -
It happened to me and never turned up (despite being a tracked delivery). I had to buy another item.

They didnt actually open the door to the property?0 -
They probably did... He said that he was about to leave that card and then someone did open and sign for it. It seems so. Anyways thats all I could do. Thanks all for answers.0

This point is critical to correct delivery
did/could someone have opened the door?
Is it the door to your property or a communal door?
Are the letterboxes at the main entrance of flats?0 -

Sorry to butt in but I have a mild query about this as had a lot of stolen post a while back when living in a building with a shared entrance and RM items showed as delivered often and they were not, not as bad as couriers though0
