  • Hi all, I'm looking forward to this challenge, and a challenge it will be, I very rarely take my lunch to work, and it gets v expensive buying it everyday, on average I must spend about £5 a day  This challenge will serve to save me a lot of money, as well as help me with losing weight, as I won't be making impulse lunch purchases! Good luck everyone!
Tomorrow is a good old fashioned chicken sarnie, a fruit corner yoghurt, 2 satsumas, and some carrot sticks. I'll also be taking my water bottle, and resisting the urge to buy bottles of water on the way to work. I'll need to take my brekkie tomorrow too, which will be porridge to zap in the microwave and my flask of tea :)

I'm back to play :D 21 working days in September, but we're being fed on both of our INSETs so I'm not counting those. No bought lunches for 19 days is my aim (although I may go wild and sample the coffee in the new 6th cyber cafe one day)!

So today I have leftover nut roast, a pack of uncl3 b3n's express rice (bought as part of a shop last week) and an apple. Food shopping again tonight!

Today I have leftovers. A lentil shepherds pie with salad which was much better cold than I thought! I still have leftovers so reckon I will have to have it the next couple of days too. I also have a pack of fruit and nut - unfortunately the healthy kind not the chocolate.
  • So, joining this challenge has paid off for me. Totally disorganised over the weekend and yesterday evening the only thing that got me to make a packed lunch was this challenge - can't fail on day 1 ! So cheese and pickle it was. But its a small victory.

Stopped at shops on the way home and now have rolls, cold meats and coleslaw for the rest of the week for less that buying lunch today would have cost.

    Thanks for the motivation :-)
