    Hello,
    Can I join please :-)

I have 16 working days in September, and will aim for all of them as I'm trying to establish a habit.

Loving the inspiration in the first post!

Always take lunch in with me. Work Mon to Fri. So think that's 21work lunches. One tip I have is to make sure you have a good quality lunch box - one of the liquid and air tight ones. I've found with others some lunches leak and make a mess.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

  • Hi, Can I join in please? I have 19 working days in September. I'm saving for my wedding, and it gets so expensive buying lunch everyday, so this should help save the pennies. :)

Tiglath have you been given any diet sheets or anything? I know what it's like having problems with food, the only time I've felt OK inside is when I've been on a low carb diet but it's oh so very boring!

    Good luck!

Thanks - my GP has said she thinks I'm wheat-intolerant but not celiac based on recent bloodtests, but just to get on with it. I've discovered today after a deliberate challenge that rye bread/pumpernickel has a spectacular effect on me, so I'm just going to go glutenfree. My stepdaughter is celiac so I know a fair bit about it - just have to be consistent with it. Unfortunately oats and even glutenfree crackers have upset me recently as well, so lowcarbing is my only real option. That's all my body wants to handle at the moment. In the past I've had nutritional tests suggesting I should avoid all grains, rice, corn, soya, legumes, nuts, shellfish, the nightshade family, mustard ... I just gave up at that point.

My private health insurance through work said they might fund food allergy testing but the GP would need to fax them a letter to consider, so I might draft one up for my appointment with her next Tuesday.

Yeah my mother has coeliac disease and it's hereditary apparently, she gets bread on prescription and it's like cake!

I found that cutting carbs eases that horrible gurgling, bloating feeling but I find it's expensive. Good idea about the letter at the ready.
