  • I saw mince pies for sale in the supermarket!
  • Saw Christmas cards in the card factory on Thursday and 2014 calendars at which I did buy one as they were only 50p.

I must admit I did buy my 1st Christmas pressie on Thursday as well, however that was for my sister back home in Australia as I am posting all presents again at the end of September sea mail to save on postage cost.

    I've been Money Tipped!
QVC (shopping channel) are having a Countdown to Christmas day today and are selling lights, trees, gift ideas etc.

I love Christmas and am watching to see if there are any more lights I might fancy.

In fact, I found two Christmas puds yesterday left over from last year and may have one later :D.

I am hoping we may just get an Indian summer and be able to enjoy some lovely weather for a few more weeks yet. Highly optimistic of me seeing as I live in Blighty no doubt!

We haven't even had Halloween or Bonfire night yet. Two events I love to celebrate. Once they are out the way I start to think about Xmas, though I do save up for it over the year to eliminate financial pressure. That is as far as my preparations go till mid November. I do respect though that those who have family and friends flung around the world need to sort things out in advance.

I have purposefully been staying away from town, to avoid seeing anything remotely linked to Xmas, only to come on here and someone has started a thread about it. Noooooo, nowhere is safe :D

    .

Yep, I was in there about an hour ago and saw the red envelopes lined up from a distance and genuinely had to think hard about what celebration they could be for and then I got closer and saw it was for Christmas!

I do love Christmas time but not now, not august, not when there is a man selling ice creams outside. But I do have to say that now is a good time for sale shopping for pressies.
  • Ohh OP why did you have to mention it? Now I'm wondering where I'm going to put the tree! There's only just room for me and OH in our flat.
