On the basis of the news this morning that both girls have pleaded guilty, I wonder if anyone stupid enough to donate to this fund will be able to get refunds!!!0 -
There's a description here http://www.lawandlegal.co.uk/careers/human-rights-lawyer/
A lot of lawyers specialise. Most do criminal law, some do conveyancing and a few, just a few, do human rights. I should imagine human rights cases are quite involved and potentially more difficult than just representing a client for shoplifting or other minor crime.
Sorry Glen I think you might be thinking of International human rights.
Human rights play a part in several legal disciplines, family, criminal, business, employment and immigration. It seeps into other areas of law. There's not really any such thing as "human rights law".
Most solicitors don't specialise in criminal, most specialise in civil. All study conveyancing and many if not all are involved in case with a "human rights" aspect.0 -

So it's a myth. I could have believed it if they' d got aun san suu kyi out of gaol or something but I suspected they weren't involved.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

Apparently she has made a heartfelt plea about abject poverty and inhumane living conditions and begged not to be sent home to Dungannon.

Pretty much a marketing device and buzz word. Most legal professionals deal with aspects of it every day. Many specialise in different aspects. There’s certainly not one be he Peter Madden or whoever, who specialises in it all.0 -
