I have a girly version of this (with flowers) - it has lasted well traveling to and from uni on the train - it always has several reference books in it, and bottled water etc....

Find something he likes to look of in store, and then look on Amazon - they seem to offer some really good discounts on rucksacks.

Rucksacks tend to be better for backs also - so worth a look.

That's a laptop bag, and looks far too much like a briefcase. Serious bog washing danger for any teenage lad taking that to school!
