rabbit in the bin store

Probably in bin store as hardstanding for a hutch (as a guess). A shared garden is exactly that - shared. Not for the exclusive use of the OP's bunny-eating dogs. What if a resident wants to get a permanent rabbit/guinea pig in a hutch? You have said bunny is fed and looked after, just causing you an inconvenience. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Well, presumably if you live in flats then whoever is looking after it doesn't have room for the hutch indoors? If it was a permanent situation then I think you'd be right to be concerned but you've been told it's only temporary whilst the owner is on holiday. And presumably the bin store is in a sheltered spot?
Rightly or wrongly, there are millions of rabbits living in gardens all over the UK in small cramped hutches that have little interaction with their owners. I blame the pet shops for selling these hutches in the first place which just encourage people to think it's ok to use them!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Shared as you said means just that shall we see how the rabbit that IS IN A BIN STORE 24 hours a day for the last 8 deals with dogs that use the garden for a supervised hour a day for the last 5 years?
It is an inconvenience but we have coped the issue is small hutch no outside tike and bin store is that hard to grasp?0 -
Who has said it is acceptable? People are offering alternative opinions and solutions. I didn't say that the rabbit doesn't deserve food - but you mentioned the RSPCA not being able to do something, well, if the rabbit was seen to be going without food and water they'd have a lot more power to do things. You're obviously able to check on the rabbit fairly frequently, so you report it for not having food or water quickly, I'm sure you're not going to sit there and let it starve for a week.0

I agree with the hutch comment. I fit two jacks and a grumpy OH in our flat so a hutch would be a breeze
Nope its the only bit of the garden that gets full sun so it wont be comfy out ther:mad:0 -
So its spending a week or so in a small hutch with food and water while its owners are on holiday, why does it matter that the hutch is in a bin store, all a bin store is a recess in a wall and would provide the hutch with a good deal of shelter.0

But it IS being fed by whoever is actually looking after it. It hasn't been abandoned so not sure why the OP is giving it extra food nor why the RSPCA would need to be involved, not that they're actually of any use in such situations but that's another topic“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Which will have absolutely no effect as the animal hasn't been abandoned, i you actually want to help why don't you say to the person looking after the animals that rabbits don't like direct sun and if there are flies around them its a sign of a potentially fatal infection of fly strike, so suggest buying rear guard.0 -
