You'll probably say we shouldn't be using Rapport but I've seen 2 Windows issues today (other halfs Vista, neighbours Win7Pro) that may have been caused by a Rapport update.

First time I've ever run restore on 2 computers in one day. Anybody else had problems?

EDIT: the cause appears to be an update and/or the install of "Trusteer Endpoint Protection" which I'm zapping on our Vista box now.

EDIT2: also killed Windows 7 Professional; the update was "Trusteer Endpoint Protection" 23/8 3.5.1302.54

Totally agree. My bank, HSBC pestered me for months via my online banking to download this piece of garbage. They've now given up and I am still perfectly happy with my own choice of security.

For starters, its not a REQUIREMENT of any financial organisation as far as I'm aware.

EDIT: not deliberately bumping but I've added to my first post: confirmed that the new Rapport update has also killed a Win7Pro desktop. Details later.

I was advised by my business bank manager to install Rapport on my Win7Pro PC last year, so i did and within 24 hours my PC keep crashing. I had a local computer tech take a look and he said it was Rapport that was causing he issue, he removed this and then did a full check on the PC and found no other issue. he gave me a report of such and i presented this to my business bank manager who was shocked, so he passed this to his superiors and in the end i was given a £50 gesture on my account

I don't suppose there's a way a of spoofing installation? I would love to not get a nag screen every time I log on to one of my accounts :p

There is no need to spoof installation of Crapport because you can easily control exactly what is allowed to be displayed on your screen by using browser add-ons like NoScript or Adblock Plus.

I have never installed it and I never see any nag screens when logging into any banking site.
