Is this a good deal?

If you just want a decent new phone you can't really go wrong with this deal for a Samsung S4 with Mobiles

Which is nearly 50% cheaper than the iPhone O2 deal unless you really need unlimited mins? Another option is a Samsung S3 which is almost as good as an iPhone 5/SGS4 which can probably be picked for less than £20 per month?0 -
This is why I posted my original question! Hubby and I got PAYG and I don't think we have saved much money. Not to mention that we got crap phone set to begin with. I don't have the money to buy a decent Iphone/smarphone (not the latest, just something decent) right out so I thought a contract might work better. As I said hubby is on the work for half of the week and I help with his work from home -which is why we are on the phone so much. Reading all these posts I am getting many ideas and also the gist that there are no perfect deals out there.
Has anyone here gone for a deal as the one I posted in the beginning?
I have just discarded an old Nokia for a first Smartphone and i'm pleased with it so far. I didn't want an iPhone partly because I already have an ipod 5 touch (ie most of the services of an iPhone except the phone) and because it is too expensive and far exceeds my needs.
I have got a Samsung Galaxy 3 mini which I bought unlocked for £199 to use with my Virgin rolling SIM. That gives me 600 minutes, 1GB data and unlimited texts which is ample for me so far. The sim deal costs me just £6 a month (including a discount for being a previous contract customer).
My old Nokia contract was only £16 a month for calls and texts. I also had internet but rarely used it as the screen was too small. Your current Nokia deal sounds very expensive.0 -
Depending on your husbands employer most of the networks offer discounts or credits if you sign up for a contract.
Boots NHS DHL to name a few the list is endless, just ask the network, doesn't work through Carphone Warehouse you have to go direct to an ee, o2 shop etc0
