    Debt-free and Proud!
    Thanks for the list Michelle,

Don't know which extra mission I'll plump for - see how it goes tomorrow. DD is off tomorrow for 5 days of adventure in Lake's with school so today has been all about getting her ready. DH away next week too so house should be quieter/tidier with only me and DS1&2.

    Catch you all tomorrow

hey everyone, did you miss me over the last couple of weeks? I was busy revising for my interview for my job, but i have the job now so no more excuses. Since ds has decided that getting up at 5.30am is a great idea i think i will try and do my flylady tasks before work and leave my evenings free to catch up on sleep.

    Hi everyone

May I join you? I have been reading these threads for a few weeks now not daring to join in as you all seem so organised - I don't even have a daily routine! My housework is all so haphazard and the house is in a perpetual mess. It's not filthy exactly but not clean either, IYKWIM!!

I have taken the plunge and here I am. So if I understand correctly these are my tasks for tomorrow and I can choose my own level depending on time, energy etc.

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Level Two
    Clean floors
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week
    Extra Mission:
    Choose one or more of:

    * Defrost freezer
    * Wipe the outside of all your small appliances (kettle, toaster etc)
    * Pull other appliances out and clean underneath them
    * Take things off a shelve (cupboard or storage shelf) so you can wipe the shelve and anything else that needs it

When do I swish and swipe and do my 27 Fling Boogie?!!

Michelle thank you for helping out, is appreciated knowing all the lovely flybabes are looked after this week and no slacking :D With the editing, colour tags got a bit muddled from what I can see. Both colour brakets are before it instead of one before and one after.

Broomstick well done with the new job :)

Mamashaz welcome, I won't be here for your first week but good luck !

I'll be joining in with tomorrow but leaving at about 8am, that's a lot to do before then! But I want to come home to a tidy kitchen. Have cheated and smallest freezer defrosting now but will need wiping out in morning. Will do small appliances in the morning, after dealing with a fly infested house before from left food (not mine) I am paanoid about kitchen crumbs etc. Right so thats the SC, BM, kettle, toaster, and george to clean (did slicer earlier and put it away)

Right, if I don't get chance to post before we leave I hope you all have a good week, thanks for the messages about enjoying hols etc, I thoroughly plan to especially being half board and no cooking! But if the room is dirty I'll end up buying stardrops no doubt :rotfl: Old habits etc.
One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Mamashaz - I didn't have a routine before I started following these threads. Some people like to S&S the kitchen and the bathroom on a daily basis, though I'm terrible at remembering to do this.

broomstick27 - I tend to fly mostly in the morning, by the time I get home from work the housework is the last thing I want to do.

A late one from me again, as i have just managed to get through 28 papers, plus 3 i did this am, so almost hit my target of 32 today. :j I will sleep well tonight (i hope.)

Well it looks like there is approval of the way i've set it out. I hope we wll end up needing sunglasses from the dazzle of our kitchen surfaces, particularly from those white applainces tomorrow.

welcome back to kyle and broomstick - go kyle leading the way for us. Mamashaz the way swish and swipe works for me is i have a microfibre in the kitchen, so after washing up the dinner dishes the work surfaces get a wipe. In the bathroom, i use facial wipes to cleanse my face in a morning, and then i will quickly wipe the sink around when i have used it, or sometimes any dribbles under bottles. The principle is it isn't spotless, but it never gets as dirty as if you have not done anything. Some people then do this instead of a full clean, but i like to then clean with something like stardrops once a week to ensure it is properly clean IYSWIM. Hope that helps you!

I want to aim for level 3 tomorrow as it will be one week till our hols, and like lil-me i like to leave it spotless. I can normally manage it with the kitchen. Here's my list:

    Morning all!

Michelle, we'll be in safe hands this week - teachers still scare the life out of me  , so I'll have my head down :T

Lil me - enjoy your break, though I think you've gone now :j

Broomstick - well done on the job

Mamashaz - welcome. We may seem very organised, but our plavces were once like yours (and in my case, probably a whole lot worse :o:p ) My top tips will be (1) get rid of clutter - recycle, chuck, Freecycle, E-bay or box into the loft - you can't tidy clutter, you can only spend (waste ;) ) lots of time moving it around (2) Babysteps - do a bit at a time. Go for one area, do that well, then you can admire what you've done.

My house is still pretty tidy. Got the Small Penguins cleaning the sinks last evening, and putting things away downstairs - took only 30mins with all of us at it :A So today I have some laundry, some paperwork, an hour of *working from home* ready for back at the office tomorrow, quick hoover downstairs, then reward myself out in the garden this afternoon.

See you all later, Penny. x
