Refund for bowling!

hi, me and a few mates went bowling on the 7th of august and we had a horrible time as described in my email to them:
"me and friend went bowling and we paid 10 pounds each for 2 games of bowling and drinks. their systems were very buggy that day and it took and hour to do a single game of bowling during which we had to change lanes and needed the constant help of the manager. we wanted a refund but they refused and gave us the address of the head office. we didnt waste our time with the second game and left after getting some details. I called back a couple of days after and got an email address for the head office(ilford@1stbowl.com). They have not replied to my message. They seem to be doing all they can to avoid avoid communications and i guess this is to make me give up. the manager at the place said they had no legal obligation to give a refund but after a bit of research, i think they do. thank you for reading and please do not hesitate to contact me. "
they have dodged all my attempts to contact them and have gone out of their way to avoid replying. can i do something under the " Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008"?
Also what is the best way for me to get a refund/compensation and to make sure they dont try to do this to anyone else in the future?
I contacted BBC watchdog but they have not replied yet. the arena i went to is:
1st Bowl Ilford
2 Clements Road
Ilford IG1 1BP
thank you!

nothing but naming and shaming them on facebookDo you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0

You went to watchdog because a computer was buggy? One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Compensation? I understand why you want a refund but compensation for a poor bowling experience seems unlikely.0

I think a name and shame will be enough. I doubt you'll get a refund...might get a free game another time if you ask the manager.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I remember the good old days when you had a pencil and paper and had to keep track of your own scores. Perhaps this alley was offering an authentic experience? One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

I disagree with a lot of the other posts. I think that if the experience was so bad that you were unable to enjoy the experience (after all, bowling is entertainment) then you would be entitled to a refund. I would write a physical letter and send it to the head office.
I would quote the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 that the services should be "of satisfactory quality"0 -

So, hang on, you called Ilford and asked for head office's email address and they told you it was ilford@1stbowl.com...
Didn't that strike you as...odd?0 -

You should demand a refund, then split before you end up looking like a turkeyOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0
