Clutch gone on VW Passat

HI Guys can anyone give me an idea of what has gone wrong and likely costs to repair my 2l diesel Passat (07 plate) The pedal has just sunk to the floor and will not come back up and no gears can be selected. Any ideas apart from crushing the blasted thing? Thanks in advance.

I disagree...they will price match your current price. The difference is that you'll be dealing with a national company who can afford to fix things, if they go wrong.

Once you have this price, you can ring around trying to beat it...
