    Then do one.

Also, I'd love to know how you'll buy up all of these cheap properties when credit will have tightened to reflect the risk of negative equity.

DS1980. That fits. Too young to remember the last crash. Think you're invincible.

    You'll learn.

    The hard way.

With cash it doesn't matter about credit you plum. of course im not my mum and dad were in it and they came out of it smelling of roses. It wasn't all doom and gloom you idiot.

Not many people can buy a house without borrowing.

Your constant reversion to personal abuse is boring and makes you look inarticulate.

Arguments aside, it does irk that taxpayers money is being used in this shortsighted way. The current housing situation is far from ideal, but these quick fixes just add to the problem. Unless you are extremely unfortunate, you're going to have a roof over your head one way or another. Its harsh but I'm inclined to agree that if you can't afford to buy a house, you just have to get over it.

It does seem like a waste of money when there are slightly unsafe things still to be outlawed or pleasurable activities remaining unbanned.

House prices will come down for the reason that people simply can't afford to buy. Have a little patience and you'll afford somewhere.
