You're right Secret Saving Squirrel - I do say to him that I don't mind what he spends his money on. The finances are very complicated in this household as I bring in a lot more money than he does, although it doesn't come from a job, and although it is 'our' money I think he feels frustrated because he feels that he can't make major decisions based around money - which isn't the case -as long as they are financially savvy :) I think it is one of the issues with second marriages - he came into this relationship heavily in debt due to his first marriage and I bailed him out and now he feels indebted to me - which he shouldn't do. One day I may write about it on here but right now I have a list to write :rotfl:

    :j:j:j kids are home :j:j:j
:eek:washing mountain has reached Everest height :eek::eek:
Not only that but they have taken their cases to their bedrooms and that means I won't be able to get to them till miday due to teenage syndrome :(

Ok - so the tiff ended in a major meltdown where DH told me that he didn't want to move and I went to bed in a huff:( but today is another day and we will get through this and hopefully after some awkwardness (hopefully no more arguing) we will get to the bottom of what really is the problem. I think DH is depressed as he isn't really motivated by his work at the moment which means he not bringing a lot of business in, which in turn comes back to money - doesn't it always!

Right so things to do today:
    • [STRIKE]tackle Everest[/STRIKE]:j
    • [STRIKE]post bed on Eb@y[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]taxi service for DH who wants to go to friends[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]clean cupboards in [/STRIKE]outsides done +skirting boards
    • [STRIKE]use 5p Mr T petrol voucher and do £5 for £40 shop[/STRIKE]
    • Menu plan for next 3 weeks not done - still can't get onto my excel, must get DH onto it :(
    • shopping list for next 3 weeks doing a daily £40 shop to get my £5 vouchers for next week :)
    • [STRIKE]make up with DH - cuddles on the sofa ;)[/STRIKE]:T

hmm not sure just how manageable that is -best get started - so that's a coffee for me then :)

also contacted removals co. for quote-should be here any minute - think it's going to be a big :eek:

So having picked up my 5p of a litre of fuel, today I drove to my nearest mr T with a petrol station which is 6.5 miles away from my local Tesco. On a payment of £48 to fill my mini - I received £1.70 off with my vouchers. Average mile consumption per £1 is approx 6 miles. [STRIKE]therefore I'm only up by 60p on my 5p off vouchers[/STRIKE] aghh - no that is actually down by 40p?? - thank you Mr T - not sure it's worth the extra wear and tear on the car:( Unless of course I take into account the larger range of produce they have and the savings I made buying those things on offer? Far too complicated for me to work out, especially if I add Mr A into the equation. 13 miles away, no 5p voucher but cheaper fuel prices than Mr T as well as produce, motorway drive so more fuel economic. Then I need to consider the option of home delivery  Need to have a doctorate in maths to work this one out. I may be an avid MS follower but I'm sure I have better things to do with my evening :rotfl:

A bit like shopping in Boots and trying to work out the best order to buy things, using vouchers and till spits. By the time you factor in the extra headache tablets you're bound to need I'm not sure it's worth it .

    Where's the sunshine gone :(

Not a great MS day yesterday having worked out that my petrol vouchers actually cost me  but at least I got my £5 voucher off from Mr T and also discovered a buy two get one free for T@mp@x large boxes for my DD who has just started using them, thinking of buying them up in bulk so she has a supply for the next 6 years until she goes off to uni :rotfl: - must do a price check on those. So spent £46 on petrol and £45 at Mr T. Need to take a look at my food spend today as I've still got 3 weeks left before payday - need excel fixed.

The removal company came round last night to do the quote. I've used them twice before so I know they are good. I have a horrible feeling its going to be above £800 despite the fact that we are moving all the boxes and small stuff ourselves, he seems to think it will take more than one day to do it - we're only going 1.5 miles down the road  will find out later today.

I almost sold the bed yesterday as someone sent me an email from eb@y to ask how much would I sell it for if they could pick it up today as she lived in the same town - think I may have frightened them away. It's on at £20 - only one year old and used for spare room so hardly used. Paid just under £220 and have included valence and padded mattress protector. I asked for £40 - maybe I should have said £30 - never mind you live and learn.Just got message she's picking it up this afternoon - £40 to flat fund - bring it on:j

I managed to tackle most of the list yesterday, though I still have a few cupboards (outside) to clean and the menu plan to do. Feeling a bit shattered today so not aiming for too much.
    • [STRIKE]finish off cupboards[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]iron mount everest[/STRIKE]thinking of entering speed ironing in the next olympics - though it was more of a hovver than an iron:o
    • [STRIKE]taxi service to pick DD up[/STRIKE]dropped of son at friends but gained another girl
    • [STRIKE]Take DS trainer shopping for school[/STRIKE] and work out if he needs rugby boots and check his sports kit still fits £31.99 reduced- out of kids budget :)
    • finish off menu plan
    • [STRIKE]do £40 pound shop for £5 voucher - thinking t@mp@x - that should make it easy[/STRIKE] :rotfl:2 boxes half price brand washing powder, 2 boxes half price cereal, 6 boxes of 3 for 2 t@mpax didn't have the big boxes so kept numbers down till i go to big Mr T £5 for flat fund plus an additional 39p on coupons :j
    • [STRIKE]start to declutter kitchen cupboards[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]go see friend and kids before she leaves for a new life in Outer Mongolia - I mean wh[/STRIKE]y

Going to sign off now as I'm running behind myself today - also have people coming to view the house so need to make sure its not too much of a slum

    Happy MSing :j PFTPx
