How bizarre abouttimetoo - have literally just read your post about houmous on Tilly's thread - no joy with the houmous here I'm afraid - like Tilly my attempts at home made houmous has always been grainy but apparently if you mix it with natural yoghurt it helps the texture.

Thanks for dropping by it's great to meet new people on this site - everyone is sooo friendly - Enjoy your new recipies. Am planning to attempt a couple myself over the next few weeks.

Hi Penny, the lovely Edinburgher has just come up trumps with a houmous recipe :j:j You're right re a lovely friendly site and someone always comes up trumps :T

Just peeled a load of windfall apples (freebie from a friend) so :jtrying a novice chutney recipe. If it's horrible no harm done as other ingredients in the house anyway and very cheap

In my experience you can't go too wrong with chutney - pass over any left overs - could do with some more chutney in the Dixie household

All my organisational planning always goes belly up during the kids holidays - have already done my first taxi run, been booked for the next one, ordered Thorpe Park tickets, (£20 discount if booked 4 days in advance) offered to do drop off and pick up (glutten for punishment) and am about to start the never ending round of cooking for hungry teenagers :eek:

TO DO LIST:

• [STRIKE]sort out my work filing cabinet which is currently crammed with value biscuits and cereal[/STRIKE]

I think we should all have a'lovely Edinburgher' of our own - I'm sure he'd come in very useful and a font of all knowledge

Hi PFPT, if I could tele-port it to you I would I'm ridiculously pleased at how it's come out for a first attempt. Far too much for me so most of it off to family, friends and neighbours

:rotfl: You're right there, Ed knows so much about a range of topics. Just spotted he's looking into some home brew so looks like a very merry Christmas is approaching in more ways than one

Most definitely Ed, most definitely; in fact, I can't think why we don't all add our MFW items, skills and gift to our CV's, what amazing CV's they would all be :j
