  • Hiya - just read your diary through and enjoyed it a lot! Hope the move has gone well - I'm in the middle of a move (next week) and have a baby due in 2 weeks time, so it's busy busy here as well. Hopefully once we've moved, we can look at overpaying our mortgage as well... Well that's the plan, I'll see how we survive on maternity leave first!

Just wanted to say hi and good luck! x

    Hi Madcatgirl,

    Welcome on board :)

You've certainly got your work cut out for you next week - make sure you take it easy and get everyone else to do the work whilst you just co-ordinate :) and all the very best with your imminent birth and overpayments :D

Yay - I'm home- all boxes have now been emptied and everything put away - as to whether it is in the right place is another matter. It has been a bit of a squeeze, especially in the kitchen where we have half the cupboards that we had in the old house - but all in all - a job well done and we are all settled.

It was such a joy to wave the kids off to school rather shouting at them to get a move to get into the car on time. Even more of a joy that it took me 3 minutes to walk to the high street and 6 minutes to Mr Ts - I'm looking forward to popping down just as they do the daily price reductions :money:

So where am I MS wise? Hmmm - lets just say that I think I will be writing off this month as so much money seems to have leeched out of my hands. Not helped by almost a weeks worth of eating out and takeaways as I just didn't have the energy to cook. I need to spend some time working out just how much I have spent this week, as its been a while since I've updated my budget accounts. I would like to bury my head in the sand as I know it won't be pleasant but unless I do it I know that things won't get back on track so that is first on my to do list today.

So back to list making, but first a I'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to every one who has read and supported me during the move - it's such a lovely feeling knowing that out there I have MS friends that are just so lovely - it makes me feel all gooey :rotfl:

    TO DO LIST
    • [STRIKE]washing - lots of[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]ironing - lots of [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]budget accounts[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]sort out kitchen drawers - having just shoved things in anywhere[/STRIKE]
    • change of addresses - lots of those
    • [STRIKE]submit meter readings from old house[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]find the best deal for new providers[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE][STRIKE]food shop[/STRIKE][/STRIKE] £9.18

Almost back to normal now - ahhhh

    Have a good one guys

  • I didn't get round to posting this morning as there always seemed to be something else to do first. As usual a busy and productive day - at a more leisurely pace than it has been for the past few weeks.

A bit of a pootling day really - moving things around and tidying up wardrobes etc. DH and I popped down to the local annual jumble sale held in the local memorial centre - luckily nothing to be found - helpful that I went without my purse :money:

    Spends Today:

£30 - petrol (hoping that will last me 2 weeks now that we have moved - will have to monitor that)
£30 - food shop. Bought DH some beers to go in the fridge he has just put in his man cave (aka garage) along with the sofa and two armchairs we can no longer fit in the house! He's also rigged up a tv and projector so I may soon become a mancave widow :rotfl:

Walked up to Mr twice today so am getting some exercise that I never used to get - not that you can really call a 6 minute stroll exercise but hey ho :)

Tomorrow is a day for admin. I have lots of emails to catch up on as well as some more address updates and I also need to pay my road tax for the jeep which I think comes in at around £475 for the year
Also need to sit down and do a meal plan tomorrow. I normally do one for the month but I think I'll just do a weekly one for the next couple of weeks until my new month starts.

Off to catch up on some diaries that I have neglected for a long time so happy times (whilst munching on my second piece of lemon drizzle cake that my bezzie (9 kids mum) made as a moving in present - nom nom nom :D

    Happy weekend

  • What a beautiful day :)

Strolled down to Mr T this morning in the gorgeous sunshine - not such a pleasant stroll back lugging two bags full of 12 pints of milk, (50p off if you buy three 4 pinters :money:) apple juice and potatoes amongst others - but good exercise all the same.

I need to get back to my MS ways so I'm going to make up some more of my mix of washing powder (cheapo/branded/soda crystals) and water down the milk :rotfl: I must go back to the tread Lots More Ways to save the pennies :money: - quite inspirational.

Most of my chores have been done for the day and I've managed to get through all my emails and action those that need it. Decided to wait until tomorrow to pay my road fund tax as its going to be a high spend day anyway with £40 to teachers kitties and £20 lunch money. Still need to do my meal plan and shopping list but need to make Sunday roast first (chicken today) nom, nom - but not before I've sat down for an hour to read some diaries - and subscribe to them all as I've been promising to do for some time now.

    Spend Today:
    £15.21 Mr T

    Enjoy the sunshine
