Pretty much the same, its one of the only websites that I can get on at work and when business is slow I browse and post to pass the time.

I'm tempted to do a search on my username and find out what my first post was! That might help me remember why I came here in the first place!

I've done this, it can be quite enthralling reading your old posts, mine are like my life story, showing what was going on in my world at a certain point in time.

It was when my old dog was seriously ill, and then passed away.

I was gutted, really struggling, and at the time my husband was working long hours and I just needed someone to talk to.

Followed a link and found mse...
  • I 'think' it was when my OH was settling the debts he had gathered during his previous relationship, although my first post appears to be about a FCUK dress on the Grabbits board.

My choice of name could have been thought through a bit more but at the time I worked (well I still do) on an industrial estate where I was one of two females (oh the joys!) working within about 8 companies full of men! I was also the youngest person working on the estate and gained the nickname of being the "estate princess" now it seems slightly odd but I'll stick with it. (I'm now the only female working on the estate so I guess the name still fits even if I feel too old to be classed as princess!!!)

That's why I have such a dull username, I registered to ask one question, I didn't think I'd still be using it 4 years and over 15,000 posts later!

Ditto! I'd been watching an episode of Miami Ink the night before where Kat Von D is much fatter than she is in LA Ink and said to my husband 'that was when she was Fat Von D' and sadly the name was stuck in my head the next morning when I registered. Had I known I'd be here however many years later I'd have put more thought into it :rotfl:

I came here when it was recommended to me by someone 20 odd years my junior who was closer to paying off her mortgage than me :o

I hooked up with some chick on here. She no longer uses the site, we split up and I decided to stick around.

    Hey ladies...
  • I think I was applying to the DWP and a google brought up a massive thread on here. Have probably spent a *bit* too much time of these forums but some of the advice and support is fantastic (you know who you are ladies x)

I signed up for martins emails about 3 years ago and clicked on a link to old style forum and bobs your uncle. I have since got a new user name but like others, I have learnt loads and also passed on some advice, a win win situation!

    Don't know what I would do if I didn't come on here!:j
