Blimey! Such a long time ago now, I really can't remember. Glad I did though!

I think I had googled something too and one of the links was for a thread on the forum and I just got hooked.
I spend most of my time on this board and I'm pretty sure I visit it more than any of site. Checking in on the board kinda feels like catching up with friends.0 -
I think it was something I googled and I joined up to reply to a topic. Wish I had chosen a different username now though- I joined back in my Blue loving days *cringe* but I wouldn't give up my post count or old layout now though.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

I was registered on another site (the name escapes me now) as I was trying to claim back bank charges. It had got to the "taking the paperwork into court" bit and I wanted advice and no one answered my post for days!
So I looked on the internet for another financial site and posted here (and later got my bank charges refunded).0 -
A friend recommended the weekly newsletters so I signed up. That was a few years ago and then the newsletter itself was really worth receiving as it had loads of advice on current deals for that week. They still exist but not as much as then.
At the time they used to post links on the newsletter to some particularly active/interesting/useful threads. I think you were able to vote for 'thread of the week' or something like that.
That lead me to the boards and now I rarely read the newsletter. It seems only to turn up occasionally in my inbox.0 -
I googled MacKenzie Hall when British Gas set them on me to recover money that they, in fact, owed me (and later paid me). One of the links was to this forum. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0

I was in a chat room (ah, they were the days!) when someone put up a link to the infamous 'anal bleaching' thread on mse..........
I've learnt an awful lot from mse, some of it even finance related! Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!

I searched for advice on credit card debt and PPI when my OH had his LBM a few years ago. Don't quite know how I got from that part of the board to a complete obsession with the TTC and pg threads though

I'm tempted to do a search on my username and find out what my first post was! That might help me remember why I came here in the first place!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0
