I've been doing this, but I bumped all the minimum's (weeks 1-19) to £20. Also been putting a couple of quid in here and there, up to £1300 so far since Jan 1st.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
I used a simpler method that still helped me to save a fair bit of money without really feeling I missed anything: I just started saving £1 coins. Each day, when I got home, I put every £1 I had in a tin. Simple as that.
I wouldn't deliberately save every £1 I received in change during the day, just those that I still had when I got home from work or a night out but it still allowed me to build up around £200 in a few months.0 -
Week 21 - £231 - can't believe how well i've resisted the temptation to spend the money! :T0

Please can somebody tell me what week we're currently on and how much I should have saved already (doing it the original way)?
Also, just out of interest, is anyone saving money in the 52 week chalkenge for anything specific? It's just that I like to have a goal in mind when I'm saving.Mortgage - £105,5000 -
I have added in up to week 26 and I'm at £351.
Struggling though as June has been a very busy month. The temptation to dip into this money is there!WSC 2015: #50 - £128/£1378 (2014 #16 - £1000)

I didn't see this until April but have been saving since then. I have put £1 £2 £3 etc each week in my diary and putting into it when I can (paying two weeks upfront or three weeks upfront etc) I am up to w/c July 7th so far.
I want to put it all into a savings account when I am off work next Monday so I don't have cash in the house and will know the total I have then and will keep tally from then on as I put in each weeks worth
Hope it'sokay to join as I didn't start till late
