Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Debt-free and Proud!
This challenge is great... Have been inspired and DH joining too... I'm trying to repay £5000 cc this year.... Have got it down from£12000 over last 4 years so hoping final push with this sealed pot will help:) will add money for each week but not in order ... So far have £50 ... dH has £1 :) the sense of competition will hopefully help us! Was wondering is it worth while writing on the side of pot how much is in there or is that daft?
    welcome to the challenge.
I find it helpful keeping track of how much there is. last year when i started this i had it in a tin. now im doing in an online saving account, just so its less tempting :) and i dont go to cash machine a lot

Transferred £250 for January as there are 5 Wednesdays this month and 53 in total in the year but I think the last one will be £0 so that suits me.

Fantastic idea (thanks for signposting this Aesop) and I would love to join you. Fed up of starting the new year broke and I am determined to get more savings behind me this year. Great idea to have a chart and vary the payments week on week until you have achieved all the denominations.

I am going to do this online and use the same savings account I have for virtual sealed pot. Will keep a little tally in my notebook so I can see which amount is which.

Look forward to the challenge :T

  • Hi, i'd like to join this challenge... it's a great idea :). I'm not a regular visitor to the boards nowdays but i like to pop in every now and then to find inspiration and new ideas and i must say this one is superb.

I've put £1 aside tonight, but things are gonna be a bit tight between now and pay day so i'll really get into this challenge in February.

    Enjoy your weekend :).

    Thanks for the link!! :)

    Hi everyone,

Sadly I had to dip into my savings this week :( So i made an executive decision to start again, but going backwards, so hopefully I will be around same point I wanted to in June if not more!

So also gonna start paying monthly into it since lot more going backwards, so im making the difference up on monday when empty my change bank but £202 that will take me to week 4 near my payday!

Thanks to everyone for keeping me motivated!!!

Hi this challenge is a great idea I'd love to join. Trying to use challenges to keep my focus. My wages can be a bit erratic between winter and summer so I've printed of a sheet with 1-52 squares on and am going to mark off one each week as I put money away so I can keep track of which amounts I've done depending on how much spare cash I have.
