Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning. I was up real early today, don't know why as I did not get to bed until 12. I think the light mornings and the heat don't help much. It was a scorcher down here yesterday again.
I towed my caravan to the sis in laws farm, so that is nicely placed for the summer. A bit rustic... but who needs a club house and swimming pool?
The Chernobyl fundraiser made over £500 last night which was great. I did not realise what it was all about, but apprently since the power plant disaster, most of Belarus has been contaminated with radiation. That radiation is affecting the immune systems of all the children that live there. By bringing a child to the UK for just 2 weeks, heals 2 years worth of damage to their bodies, just by drinking clean water, fresh air and un contaminated food. Amazing stuff.
Work soon. I will be the only one in my office, so a bit lonely. I have plenty to do and you never know what last night may bring in..
Have a nice day:D

Good luck in the sandcastle comp Amie make sure you take some pictures.
Well done n9eav on last nights fundraiser.
Im too am up early, but this is due to dd getting into our bed, she may be little but does she take up space!!
So thought id have five minutes on the boards, then will sit outside wth a coffee.
Iv just cheack the weather and says chance of rain this morning but then sunny later. I do hope so as kids wanting to get in the pool as they didnt have chance yesterday due to being at party.
Which was lovely but it was just sooooooo hot and there isnt much shade and our friends house, so spent most of the afternoon caking the kids in sun cream.
Plans for today, cut the lawns and tidy garden, having leg of lamb for tea and sandwiches for dinner.
Have a good one everybody.

Morning Guys!
Good Luck with the sandcastle competition and Jamie...feel better soon hun!
Had a lousy morning so far and have been up since 4.30:eek: ...but never mind! Went out for a drive yesterday with OH whilst DD was at drama and popped to see nephew, then on way home checked in to see friend whos just had back surgery...she seemed fine. Sat out in their lovely garden on the terrace over looking their pool...how the other half live:rotfl:
WM needs do to go on today, DW has been unloaded and toiled scrubbed.
With all this talk of Orlando and the new Harry Potter park we have decided we will go back at Xmas 2009. Have a villa available to us right near Walmart:D ...so accomdation sorted! We should be debt free by Sept 07, so if we save £200pm till we go, that will cover eveything including scooter rental, flights, minivan, food/eating out, tickets and spending money for 4 weeks. I know Im going to have problems with health insurance and will need to know if my consultants will even let me fly but thats the plan;)
OH got a chicken out to be roasted later, but not sure if I fancy it
Anyway, hugs to all in need.

Good morning.
Not up to much today. Bit of cleaning and then work. There is nothing worse than going to work 2:30 in the afternoon on a scorching Sunday. Still if i did not have a job I would be worse off so must not complain.
Hope you all have a wonderfull Sunday.
N9eav. Love the statement in your Sig. Very inspirational.

Good Morning All
Seems lots of good news on here this morning - hope it continues.
Was up early today as didnt do any laundry yesterday so am now playing catch up. 2nd load in already. Sun has just come out and is the makings of another beautiful day. Shame we will be inside for a good couple of hour at fil's meal - noone wants to go. (They arent nice people) but we will with good grace then rush home after dessert. We have got the excuse that when the puppy is left alone too long he will chew.
Anyway have also got to pop to Asda this morning to pick up a few bits, hope to be there for when it opens at 10.
Best get off now - have a great day all.0 -

morning everyone!
Haven't posted for a few days - been a bit hectic and I'm way behind with my OU stuff. I have been trying to read the thread every day just to keep up with everyone..
DD1 passed her driving test first time on Friday :T :T and today she's away to London to start a summer job. Been a bit of a roller coaster past few weeks - can't believe that's her left school when it doesn't seem that long that I was taking her for her first day! taking her to the airport this afternoon so hoping I can hold it together and not burst into tears - if I do she might never come back! She went to Oxford by herself on the overnight bus a few months ago - just for the weekend! - and I was in tears then.
So it will just be DD2 and me for the next couple of months, which will be quite nice. Had the kitchen designer in yesterday. She was really helpful. I told her cost was a real issue and she assured me that it could be done reasonably. She's going to look at what exdisplay stuff they have and give me some options. On tenterhooks waiting on the final quote though... I got the loan based on another quote from other builders who have since disappeared (just as well I didn't take them on!) so hope it's in the same ball park or even better - less!
Gorgeous day yesterday - still a bit dull at the moment, but promising to brighten up.
Have a good day everyone, if you see someone at Glasgow airport this afternoon in floods of tears around three - just walk on!
