North Yorkshire is beautiful, yes I would say that living here. Once you leave the towns like, Scarborough, Whitby you have nothing but beautiful, sometime rugid coast line. A vast National Park, North York Moors, very unspoilt, and of course Goathland now Heartbeat country.
Cornwall and Devon are also one of my favourite places.

The North Norfolk coast is fantastic and not far to go!!!
Get a map and look at the area to the north of Great Yarmouth where you will see to Cromer, Sherringham, Holt, Cley, Blakeney, and Holkham.
Wroxham, and Horning are lovely too. Norwich is a great city to visit with a great cathedral, castle, cobbled streets etc.0 -

Could not get a ferry to NI, so I went to Windermere. Was lovely. On my way home, also travelled to Lannberis in Snowdonia. The drive home via the A5 was lovely. Although I was stuck in a 2 hour tail back, it was worth every minute.
Thanks for all your suggestions. Will get back on my next holiday.
Thanks

i'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Windermere. This really is a lovely time of year to visit the Lake District & if you miss the Bank Holidays / School holidays you can enjoy everything while being one of few !
