I'm the same Chardonnay, I spend a lot of time looking at my signature and planning!!
Thank you for the support RR and I hope you're review goes well next week Orange Fairy, good luck.
I seem to have fallen off the wagon a bit at the end of the week, invited some single friends round for wine and nibbles to celebrate our singleness on valentines day, then went to the shop and spent £33 on supplies. We had a good time any way.
The car is now all nicely serviced and running like a dream, I haven't had the bill yet but apart from the service it only needed a headlight, so hoping it will come in under £200. He did say that it will need a new timing belt in the next 10,000 miles, I need to budget around £300 for that.
I was supposed to be taking DD to a Meditation day today, but she went out last night and is now non contactable, if she doesn't turn up in the next hour we won't be going, tbh I need the time as I go away with work tomorrow for 6 days.
I checked my bank account I am still in credit by £400, this has never happened ever in years at this time of the month :T I have paid my friend £112 for a festival ticket she bought me for our hols in August, and I've still got £290 cash in by bedside drawer from the piano sale, to pay for the car service.
I think because I feel much more financially better off, I loosen the reins on the spending, this is not a good thing to be doing, I need to keep my money well away from myself, especially when the bonus hits my account on the 27th.
Wishing you all a a lovely weekend xxPay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Well there was plenty of food left over from last night that we've made use of today, and even some alcohol:beer:
I had to take DS shopping for new school shoes and underwear today, so £44 racked up. However I have put this on the credit card!!
This is using my credit card in the responsible way (I hope!). On 1st March my travel expenses will completely clear this card, and then anything I spend on it will be due to be paid April 13th.
My new Halifax account is open, I've set up a standing order to pay into this £750 on the 28th of this month, and then will set up a direct debit to pay the full amount of the credit card each month.
This is a bit of a test, to see if I have really changed my ways, or will I be tempted to overspend and then not be able to afford the repayment each month - lets see!!
Apart from that I've done naff all today except lay in bed and read the forums.
I am so impatient for this months payday to arrive grrrrr I'm off to curdle my brain with adpointsPay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Of course you can. I've gone from £31k in debt to them, consolidated onto mortgage to £18k at lit candle point, you couldn't call it LBM, to having cleared it every month bar two exceptions over the last three and a half years. It's just a mindset thing. Believe me, if I can do it, anyone can. Just wish I could cultivate the same attitude to weightloss. Thank you for the encouragement! It really keeps me going:j
I'm working away this week, and it's somewhere warm, so I feel very blessed. Working away means lots of no spend days in a row. I'm going to try and get to the local market here tomorrow afternoon and get the kids a a small pressie each. I very rarely buy them anything now when I'm away, but it feels right to do so this week.
I have £215 to last until the end of the month, from that I need a top up shop and a tank of fuel, so should hopefully come in well under budget this month, the end of which I can not wait for. I don't want to wish my life away, but I finding my self longing for the next day I can make a payment...Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Hello! :hello:
It sounds like you're still doing really well! How lovely to be working somewhere warm, I am very jealous. Know it's probably not quite the same when you're working, but I bet it's so nice to see the sun!
I know exactly what you mean about longing for the next day you can make a payment....I feel like I'm wishing my life away too! It's such a good feeling when you update your signature, but then you have to wait another month for your next "fix". I think it is a bit of an addiction!
Keep up the good work and enjoy the warmth! :cool:0 -
Yes the sun was lovely, although to be honest it's not a bad day here today, I'm thinking maybe the washing can go on the line for the first time in 2014.
Well my car is back in the garage, a wheel bearing, and I also got the bill for the service which was £246, so add on the wheel bearing I bet it all comes to about £350 and wipes out the piano sale!!
Guess what I did? I joined match.com as topcashback were offering 50p cash back for joining, I didn't put up a photo or anything, just wanted the 50p, and then some-one sends me a message and I'm so intrigued I have to join to read the message, so I just spend £77.94 arrggggggg what a dope. I did go through topcashback so hopefully I will get £56.56 back which makes 6 months membership at £21.38 seem not so bad. Watch this space!!
I did buy the kids a little pressy when I was away too, I spent £5.50 in total on 2 pretty scarves and 2 pairs of Armani (quality fake) boxer shorts :rotfl:
So a bit of a spendy week in all, even so I might limp across the finish line at the end of the month still in budget if I don't count the car repairs.
Some-one on FB was selling a big stack of jigsaws, I saw in a thread on here that they sell pretty well on ebay, so I'm going to see if I can make a bit of profit, I've got 14 that cost me £10.
My list for the day- Washing/drying/put away

- Shop
- Cook roast

I've taken an impromptu day of work. I feel stressed and quite low. My boss asked me if everything was Ok yesterday and I burst into tears, luckily I was working from home and it was on the phone.
It's a lovely day outside and I should go for a walk or run, but I have no motivation, I just want to hide in bed on my laptop.
Payday tomorrow and I get my bonus, I should be exited, but I don't feel it.
I've had a lot on, when I got back from my work trip last week, I came home to find evidence of DD using drugs in the house, she denied it, but I don't believe her, and her behavior has been quite erratic in the last few weeks, it's a worry.
I also found a lump in my breast, I know it's a cyst as I've had several before, my doctor is 99.9% certain it's a cyst too, but I have to go for a scan tomorrow, it's the hassle of getting to the hospital, parking and all the waiting around I can do without.
Hohum, life is full of ups and downs, this is a down bit, however it will pass too like all the others.Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022
