I call my wife Flo...From handicap and Flo..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • Hubby calls me "babes"... I call him victor meldrew :rotfl:
Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...

Pet Peeves.... queues, vain people and hypocrites ..not necessarily in that order.

I used to call my ex 'Fluffy' and he used to call me 'Mrs Fluffy' :p OH calls me Mammy and I call him Daddy :D (even though we don't have kids, it's an endearment thing)

Me and OH are also 'Mummy' and 'Daddy'. We don't have kids either but do have fur babies.
We also call each other bubs/bubsie/bubsie boobsies when in private. He'll call me bubs/babe in public but I don't want to embarrass him so I just call him by his name in front of people.

My brother has always called me Bridget Jones' Diary because I have the same initials as her (not sure why he includes the word diary though, even he doesn't know why).
I call my brother Ethi or Mackme, which came from him not being able to say his name (Matthew) properly as a toddler.
My family have called me Pocco ever since my cousin first said it when learning my name as a kid.
My cousin is always called Mops instead of her real name because she was born with a mop of jet black hair.
  • DH and I don't really have nicknames for each other, although I do call him some choice names during an argument. I was always called Min by my dad, comes from The Goon Show, only those over 45 will know this show.
    Kids are another matter,
DD1 is !!!!!, said in jest but that's what she was as a teenager
    DD2 is Imp
DS1 has a few, Winkle from when he worked on the local market which changed to Psycho after he lost his temper one day.
We've called him Mumble in the past for obvious reasons
DS2 is know to all his friends as Toes 'cos he walks on tiptoes and has done since he was little, he's now 28
DD3 is called Gillybean by me but has been called Roast Rump by her dad as you could always find her sitting by the fire when she was younger.
Always remember my parents calling each other Teazle when they were alive, not sure where that came from though.

Kids are either 'sweetheart' or 'ratbag' depending on the situation.

DS1 gets called 'Trizzle' off his Dad and DS2 'Burrows'.

I don't tend to use pet names really. If Im bossing DH around he usually responds 'yes my beautiful bride', I suppose that's as close as it comes to a pet name for me!

OH may get called Buzz (cos he loves me to infinity and beyond :) ) every so often, or more often just love or darling.

My two nieces are known as ratbag and thug, respectively.

The dog is a different matter. Moose, racing snake, my handsome boy, daft buggar are all frequently used terms of endearment for him.
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!

I don't really have for DH but there is often a " for goodness sake ..." attached somewhere. DH has me on his phone as "Er Indoors" which makes me laugh :)

DD 's nickname is Frog as she looked like a little tree frog curled up on DH's chest just after she was born. This has been adopted by nearly everyone that knows us and her Aunty and grandparents adore it.

Frog gets lengthened sometimes into Froglet or Frogaletto :)

I intend to keep calling her Frog even when she is a teenager and hates it and shouts "Muuuummmmm don't call me that!" :rotfl:

Ha ha, half o these don't make me feel so embarrassed for calling my OH "Snugglepuss" :rotfl:, or generally, SP, for short.

I called him in work and "Mrs SP" appeared on his caller display. One of his work mates saw it and they are killing themselves trying to work out what it stands for. They eventually decided it must be "Sexy Panda" (???) and now sing "sexy panda dot com" (to the tune of the funky pigeon card website) at him all the time!

My mum calls me petal-fruit. No idea why! I love it, I'm 34 and she's always called me that. Maybe she just can't remember my name lol.

I call my niece chicken. When her grandad and I used to sort out who was picking her up from school we used to call it the chicken run :)
