    Hey peeps.
It's been a funny few days. We've had a couple of new windows put in, and the garden looks like a snowstorm has hit because they had to trim about 5mm off one of the frames. The dog keeps walking it in, although it could be worse, IYSWIM ;)
Also some thieving t**t tried to rip us off to the tune of £1000 doing that paypal/credit card scam :mad: it's a good job the CC company called to check it, I haven't seen DH turn that colour for a long time. If you ever get a text from someone claiming to be from your card company, phone the number at the back of your card to check, because sometimes, they can be genuine messages, it's saved us a lot of money and upset.

And on a brighter note, I won a steam mop from that Black & Decker FB comp where they sent you a test swab and you had to swab your (mucky) floor :T:j So thank you to whoever posted that comp :T

btw, I still can't win on that Jelly Belly thing, someone is trying to save my teeth and waistline :rotfl:(please don't, I wanna win, I'm feeling left out ;))

    Be lucky

not usually a horrible job sylv/walwin
cubby hole is usually quite organised but past few weeks have been looking after others pets as I've sometimes mentioned on here so had been moving stuff around to make room for other stuff
decided then today to 'tidy' the shelves up & reorganise but ended taking everything out & re stacking/moving stuff out I didn't need etc so it took longer than thought it would
looks lovely & all in order now though :j
how long will that last though

    don't think you're a humbug softpad :A
tbh don't much like the fireworks either :o
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly. k2u58ioz4c8e.png

Ta very much. I've wanted to get one for a while, but held off because I thought I'd get one in the sales. I've saved a few quid there :j The money will go towards savings for a new sofa, which I'm hanging on for the sales too....;)

Well done on the steam mop win dontone :j I still haven't got mine out the box when the glitch was on! I want to save for my new floor in kitchen! (Probably out of fashion then!)

For those who have Tassimo machines, there's a glitch on the pods in morrisons! I saw it in grabbits forum ;)

Softpad, I hate fireworks too. I like them in displays but not outside my house! They get louder and louder.

Good on yer fire**fly sorting out your cubby hole :) its nice to feel organised and get those never ending jobs out the way!

DH just got his Xmas rota, he isn't working Xmas day but nights on X eve :) Hope he's not a grumpy git on the day when the kids are playing! :p

Sheils - good DD likes your hudl (she might be reading THIS:eek:)

Never tried any streaming music services - just use Vevo (tvbox) or Youtube. (comp/ipad)

Meow is sleeping through the fireworks.... (staying in: didn't fancy hanging around and travel)

Wingo: Something on hotuk with Tassimo pods bogof glitch?

Found this verse from a delightful site - thought I would share :D

    My Wife the Gardener

~ Peter (poem in old magazine)

She dug the plot on Monday –
the soil was rich and fine,
She forgot to thaw out dinner –
so we went out to dine...
    She planted roses Tuesday –
she says they are a must,
    They really are quite lovely
but she quite forgot to dust.
On Wednesday it was daisies –
    they opened up with sun,
All whites and pinks and yellows –
    but the laundry wasn’t done...
The poppies came on Thursday -
    a bright and cherry red,
I guess she really was engrossed –
    she never made the bed...
It was violets on Friday –
    in colours she adores,
It never bothered her at all –
    all crumbs upon the floors
    I hired a maid on Saturday –
    my week is now complete,
My wife can garden all she wants –
the house will still be neat!
    It’s nearly lunchtime Sunday –
and I cannot find the maid,
Oh no! I don’t believe it!
She’s out there WITH THE SPADE!
