Not sure whether to chance buying a soup maker as it might end up in the back of the cupboard with all the other relics!


Mince pasta stew. Added broccoli and cauliflower to the pot, half way through.


Put the heating on for a short while to help dry the washing, as debatable if warm enough without. Towels whiff if slow to dry.

Just booked a 2 day trip to St Andrews for 7th & 8th November- Buy a Gift win from one of the daily mags in February, this is us just getting round to using it Never been before so hope the weather is good.

Looking forward to my bar of chocolate from Aldi :T

Hope all is well,I am fine today,been busy as always,havent time to stop :rotfl:

I went to the gym for an hours workout this morning and came out happy and smiling,then went to Morrisons to do a food shop.

came home and made lunch,had Scampi bites,jacket potatoe and sweet corn,engineer came to see my washing machine.He had to take away its motherboard the computer part of the machine.He priced it for us to get a new one etc but it was too much money,so going to have a new washing machine soon and a compact dryer as well.

I went to see my new washing machine at the shop and took a photo of it to show my parents so they know what its like The make is Bosch.

I told them I like it so tomorrow if they think the same and its easy for me to use to go ahead and purchase it.

I have my friends mums funeral tomorrow so wont be online until late afternoon.

Hope your prize cheque arrives soon Becks.So sorry to hear your news Softpad.

Evening all :wave: Just had a lovely chicken dinner and now I'm stuffed! I will have to make some room for sons apple crumble what he made in school!

Becks, hope you get your cheque soon. I saw your post on fb, I can imagine how annoyed you must be! If it doesn't come when they have now said, I would send them an email again.

Hope you're both feeling better soon fire**fly and Alfie xx The change in weather has a lot to answer for! It's been peeing it down this morning but got out nice around 3pm so put some washing out! (Must go get it in now before I forget! )

I did find hamster where ILC said...in gas cupboard under stairs! She's trying her best to get out and go on another adventure!

Sheils, let me know if the mattress is any good as I'm after a new one and like you...I've given up on trying to win one! Need to get the kids one each first as theirs is much worse! I was looking on some silent night ones as they were decent price but not sure which one to get as mine is a silent night one and lumpy and boney!

Sylvia, thanks for mentioning about the soup makers as the blender type one is in lidl this week on offer and was debating on getting it. I will wait now and get the same as yours

ILC, I watched the chuckie video and can't help noticing the resemblance of my youngest DD! That's it...I'm locking her in tonight!

On the whole Bosch is a good make so should last a while Katie.

I get Aldi + Lidl weekly (or more often) emails & posted the soup M. details above.

Am I the only one not to get a calendar today :eek:


Elle- I use my breadmaker when in the mood or low/out of bread. Well done booking St. Andrews (is that a golf course?)


I bought a memory foam mattress with pocket springs as I thought it might be too choppy (though doesn't see any action :eek:) otherwise!

I was going to get a soup maker with an Amazon Voucher but DH moaned it would sit in the cupboard most of the time so I didn't.
We are going to visit St. Andrews on Monday the 28th elle and we haven't been before either. We are staying near Glenrothes though at a Premier Inn.

DS3 & DD have got new mattresses already wingo. DD got a memory foam one which she loves but I didn't think it was comfy. Ours is in a bad way really so glad I have ordered one.
Will let you know what we think when we have tried the new one
Sons both say the smoke can get bad in Sydney and DS1 is working with some peeps who are worried about their homes. Hopefully they are safe right in the city.

Sheils....sorry I meant I needed to get my kids a new mattress first...I wasn't saying it to you! I was also wondering about the memory foam for the kids as they seem to bounce a lot on their beds which makes the springs pop up!

I've got a real sweat on here at the minute! I've turned heating off but can't seem to cool down!
