How long did your sold sign stay up?

We moved into our house 3 months ago and have asked the estate agent to remove the sold sign outside the house and they keep saying yeah yeah we will sort it, yet it still remains!!
I understand they like to do a bit of advertising but 3 months is ridiculous! How long were your signs up for?
I can't take it down and don't really have anywhere to store it so feel that there is nothing I can do but wait.

I rang my estate agent and said that I was going to cut it down and leave it for the rubbish if they didn't come, they removed it sharpish as I think they have to pay if the signs get damaged.Got married 13/11/10

3 months!! I think I'd be inclined to try and pull it out and leave it on the ground. Ring them and tell them that they need to collect within two days or you'll dispose of it. You've given them plenty of time to take it out themselves.0

Could you take it down for them and carry it back into their offices?0

Is it physical infirmity which prevents you from removing it?
If not, then I don't really see a problem here. You own the property, so you should act like its yours, instead of accommodating some lazy EA.0 -
Ours was up about 3 weeks.Rang E.A after 2 weeks and came week after to remove it.Would have took it down myself if they had"nt come0

The day we complete , i will take it up , chop it into pieces ,and use it for the fireNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

If you can't take it down, why not get a local handyman to do so?0
