There are no Google ads or referral URLs on Orsen's page, it is purely a RESOURCE - a central point for useful information, besides it is a Chat tip that was included in the weekly email which is obviously endorsed by Martin :money: . So what is the point of making a negative comment?0 -
Google is ok if you know what you want to look for, yes you could look for these resources by searching google but, in this case the site owner has pulled some of the best resources together on a not-for-profit website for everyones benefit. Simple as that really.
edit: the newbie ForumPolice must have been a troll, I think they must have been banned0 -
I recommed people have a look at www.cpuid.org
This contains two excellent programs. The first program (CPU-Z) can be installed on a USB drive and tells you some basic info about your computer like the CPU, CPU speed, RAM etc. It has a very small footprint so should not affect those installing it on an old computer.
The second program offers more detail (PCWizard). Its excellent for finding a lot of detailed information about the components within your PC such as graphics cards, modems, RAM, CPU, motherboard.
Both are freeware and very well regarded. Its good to know what you have within your PC, so its worth downloading either or both of the programs.Lack of money is the root of all evil.
