Can I just add one little thing to the equation.
You sound like a confident person who can go in to a dealer and get exactly what you want, not many disabled people I know are that confident. A lot of them aren't even confident enough to tell their employer that they are disabled!
Doesn't the DWP inform the employer if a person they employ is disabled?

My son is holding off with a disability claim because he doesn't want his employer to know about his disability
Why would the DWP tell the employer about your disability?
The answer is no, it's up to you to tell the employer if you wish to - they can't help you if they don't know about it.
It's about confidentiality, and data protection.Unite Disability Champion & Equality Rep0 -
