Not true, you only need a card to get Channel 4 .. Ch 5's ( all 3 of them ) and Sky 3, all other channels that are free to air, don't need a card.

An ex subsciption card acts as a Freesat Card as well.
Whats not true about what cledor said  is it because it's called a free from sat card? It really annoys me when when good MSE'ers spend time answering and helping others only to be put down by other MSE'ers... It really does make me think sometimes is it worth it... The OP said they had sky plus fitted and wanted to use the old box in the bedroom so the subscription card will be used in newly fitted sky plus box.. hence the freesat card for £20 from FREESATFROMSKY..

cledor said " You will need a Freesat viewing card if you don't have one, believe this is £20 from Sky. " I was simply pointing out that this is not true, a card is only required to watch CH4 CH5's and Sky 3, all other Free to Air channels do not require a card, which is an accurate statement.

The real problem is some people come on here after having spent an hour or so at DigitalSpy/ AVForums and actually start giving advice on matters that they only have a very basic understanding of.

Bad advice, is worse than no advice.

I wasn't having a go at cledor, just correcting matters of accuracy for the benefit of the OP.

Do try reading posts properly before casting judgement.

Well there is not much hope then.

What do you not understand about ... You do not need a card to watch Sky Free to Air Channels?

Perhaps you should change your user name from Inative to negative... To get the full use from sky free from sat you need a card whether it is a card purchased from sky or a ex subcription card.. I was only pointing out that cledor spent time giving what he/she thought was good advise and in my honest opinion was that.. Please don't judge me or others on how long you think they have spent on other forums..:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I am not going to get in to any further debate with you, you obviously have a far superior knowledge about these matters than I do:rolleyes:

I do oppoligise to Inactive for the not so friendly posts I have put on here. It does annoy me when MSE'ers try their best only to be knock down.. I have noticed this all over the boards and I'm really sorry to Inactive to jump on him/her for something they didn't deserve.. I have re-read what Inactive has posted and has seen it in a different light.... SORRY :o:o:o:o:o:o

Do Sky fit a 4 head LMB during the Sky+ upgrade? I see that my new one has 4 cable entrys. Does this mean it is a 4 head one?
