Options
I have recently had Sky+ installed and would really like to put the old sky box in daughters room for her to use as freeview. Can anyone provide idiot proof instruction on how to do this including what cable and fittings I will need to connect the box to one of the spare lnb slots. Cheers

Sky satelite receivers and Freeview boxes are two completely different things, so you can't pick up Freeview from a Sky box.

Yes just buy some satellite coax and a pair of F connectors, plug one end into the LNB and the other into the Digibox. You will need a Freesat viewing card if you don't have one, believe this is £20 from Sky.

Edit :- Search on satcure dot co dot uk (this URL won't display correctly)

You'll also need some self amalgamating tape to protect the outdoor connector.

One thing I'm not 100% sure about is whether you'll need to turn off the LNB power output from the 2nd Digibox.
