I have got one of those 'we can't deliver your item becuase there is a fee to pay' card through my door.

As I'm going away for xmas, I need to pick this up from my local delivery office by the end of this week.

My question is can I use my postage stamps to pay for the outstanding amount at the delivery office or will I have to give them money ? If I can use postage stamps, am I correct in assuming that I just stick them to the front of this card ?

    Any advise would help.

    Thanks

If you stick the stamps on and throw it back in the post, they usually re-deliver in a couple of days - which would be Friday or Saturday. I take it there's a risk that will be after you've gone away. You could try taking the stamps with you and doing it at the counter instead of taking change?
I need to think of something new here...

I expect you will receive it. It comes with a note encouraging the recipient "to use it to mark important post-related experiences". Perhaps those who feel the need to write posting details on envelopes could try using the diary instead.
I got the diary yesterday - the note also tells me it's useful because it contains a tube map, conversion tables and days of the week.

I guess there must be some young 'uns who've never had a paper diary before because they do it all on their phone - but does anybody really need telling that it helps you know what day of the week it is?:p

Yes, you can pay with postage stamps. If the stamps come to more than the postage due, they may even give you change of a few pence.

Thanks for updating. And you did well getting the presentation pack too (I didn't get that).

After being rested does everyone have to be retrained. My reason for asking is that I have had an email welcoming me to the live posting panel and I will receive first posting pack week beginning 23/12. I have been rested since July and really want to get back onto the panel again. I've been doing the unaddressed and correctly delivered surveys on and off and the vouchers come in handy but prefer the stamps!!
  • If whoever's sent one to me is reading this - hopefully somebody new, not someone having a blonde moment! - the label with the 'R' number is supposed to go on the paper in the envelope, not be stuck on the smart.

Everyone goes through the 7 week training period.

I was rested and still continued to do the leaflet and correctly addressed surveys...but when "welcomed back" you retun as a trainee again!
