This morning, I handed over my first "small box" at a sub-postoffice and wasn't asked a thing, just asked to "put it in the hatch with the rest". Earlier in the week, I was posting some work stuff at a main postoffice and the clerk held up a laminated sheet and said "Does it have any of this in?" I didn't read it all but it had pictures of bottles and aerosols and possibly a hand-grenade  - since it was an A4 board-back envelope with certificates in I just said "No - only documents".

So I suspect the counter staff are supposed to ask but don't always bother. Like in some POs they always ask if you want to upgrade to Special Delivery - even when you've said what service you want.
I need to think of something new here...

I received my posting for this week which is two

packages and three letters but 'on screen' it only

has one package and two letters showing? for this week

The sheet does state another day, should i just go by what the on screen tells me.I've emailed a query before and never got a reply and phoning them, well they've never answered the phone.

    Any opinions please, thanks

Follow the onscreen listing. If you tried to follow the paper sheet for an item not onscreen you would not be able to record its posting.

Anyone got the free diary with this months stamps? I have had a diary from them from the last 4 years and wondered if they had stopped them this year

I got the diary the other day - came with a 2 week posting pack for the New Year.
I already had the Jan stamps & Xmas stamps in with the previous double posting pack.
Have a rather large pile of letters next to me ready to post!

I expect you will receive it. It comes with a note encouraging the recipient "to use it to mark important post-related experiences". Perhaps those who feel the need to write posting details on envelopes could try using the diary instead.

I'm preparing an item for posting tomorrow... on the paperwork it says to add smart, but online it doesn't.... which should I follow?
