How strange! They asked me if I wanted to go back on the panel.0

Had an unusual one yesterday. white A4 envelope with window.
When I opened it found sheet A4 paper with a white envelope glued to it
Opened the envelope to find a smart.
Looked inside large envelope again, appeared empty. Funny I thought then discovered that they had glued the R number sheet to the inside to that my address appeared in the window.

Yes I had one like that about a fortnight ago.
SMART in an A6-ish envelope stuck to a blank sheet of paper.
Second sheet (with the R number) stuck inside an A4 "window" envelope so that address is held in the correct place.
Mine actually says
"This is a test item from DST M3 (LL) sent on behalf of TNS."
Printed on the flap of the envelope is
PO BOX 15675
WEST BROMWICH
B70 1EL
HOWEVER, I had an even "weirder" (but similar) one about a month ago.
Same thing, SMART in small envelope stuck to blank A4 sheet
BUT this was sandwiched between about 20 more sheet of A4, 10 either side.
Furthermore these all came in a DARK GREY poly bag.
Not the light grey or black "large" poly bag that comes from TNS most weeks, but a smaller one, little bigger than A4 sized itself.
It also had a small white label on the "flap" bearing the same PO BOX number and address as above.
It did however say
"This is a test item from DST Peterborough P2 sent on behalf of TNS."

It was delivered ok to me without any request for payment.0 -
Grr.... would the 'person' who wrote 'FRI B412 PB' on the back of the envelope STOP - if you really need a reminder either use a 'stickie' or write on the inside of the envelope and not close until about to post.
Thank you - rant over.0 -

Hi
Don't understand why panellist do that, isn't that what the Posting Plan is for. It doesn't make sense.Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -
At a guess...
They make all the items up in one go - then take them all to work and post there or get someone else to do the physical posting? No - I don't know why they don't keep the Posting Plan with the pile...
I make my set up and then use the nifty little TNS diary to remind which ones to pick up and post each day (Well I would if I'd got one this year...)
Training starts again next week so let's see what weird combinations arrive...I need to think of something new here...0 -
I am returning later this month following 6 months rest on my last term they several times contacted me saying did I post outside my area - I confirmed I didn't.
This was detected by the smarts.
They accepted my confirmation saying sometimes post gets transported out (not by posters but by RM)
Why would the local sorting office transport the mail out of the main sorting area (first two letters of postcode) - a distance at least 20-30 miles?0 -

I frequently get mail with a Nottingham postmark (at which point I'm trying to work out from the handwriting on the envelope - the scribe of my address - who is writing to me FROM NOTTINGHAM) only to discover that it was posted in DERBY by someone living only a mile or two across town from myself.

I live in Hull but my post is taken to Sheffield (some 60 miles away) for sorting.
The reason, or so I'm told, is that Sheffield has very modern sorting equipment and sorts the mail much faster/more efficiently than my local sorting office.0
