Today I received a cube and who ever posted it had placed the large shiny stamp in the right hand side bottom corner and wrote large 1st class in the top right hand corner. Another one this morning had £3.30 in postage stamps and someone had wrote 1st class in the top right hand corner again. At the start of my 2nd time on this panel I received a large brown envelope with no postage stamps one, 1st class written in top right corner on a yellow sticky note. Who ever is doing this should be told that they are not doing the task correctly and ask for advise if they do not know what to do. and try not to spoil it for others.

I have received items from business posters ( posting address shown on envelope) with 'first class' written on them. I presume it is so the post desk know to put them in first class post.

Our office had two post bags - red one for first class and green one for second class post.

Postage stamps are applied by TNS before sending out the items. Looks like the person wrote the address on upside down.

If it is an APL item then the post office staff apply that stamp.
  • When I first started work in a bank it was standard practice to put 1st or 2nd in the corner so that the juniors on post desk of which I was one at the time knew what frank price to use. Nothing wrong with a 1st or 2nd in the corner, lots of my normal mail has this as well, mind you when some idiot also adds the Monday before final posting:rotfl:

I've done this before a few years ago and re-registered a few months ago. In December I received an email saying I was about to be sent my first pack, but have heard nothing since! :(

Login to website and check your postage schedule.
You will have self-adhesive stickers with Rxxx numbers written on and possibly "smarts" to put inside the envelope.

On another note, I'm planning to use stamps on the envelopes I receive for one of the following causes. Number of received items have stamps on them and just don't want to bin it. I suppose that's okay to use them like this?

    Hi all,

I have rejoined the panel a few weeks ago. Trouble is my nearest post box has changed it's last collection time to 0900hrs AM each morning but I can't work out how to show this on the TNS website. Can anyone please help.

    Thanks.

I think you can change it when you are entering posted items ?
