I got my post pack earlier than usual (w/c 24/11), it included the 2015 diary :D

Thought I'd just say that even though I was rested around this time last year, I still got sent a 2014 diary.

I've just been put on rest, so hopefully I'll get a diary

There is an element of pot luck with the diary...I was rested last year and didnt get one...this year I am due to be reinstated next week so unsure yet if I will get the specific dated postal pack with the diary in...

But what does seem really strange is since they have been doing the cubes and parcels with sellotape, whether I'm rested or not I am very regularly receiving the tape!
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

I received the diary last year whilst resting. I have had the diary this year whilst on the regular panel. I have never received sellotape. I think it is all just pot luck.

Been off panel for about 2 years..received email to say I will receive pack next weeks. Our last post goes before post office closes so if I ave parcel could I take it down before ( Wednesday its half day closing). Because of village I live in...next two villages are in different post code area.

The schedules no longer give a time "window" in which to post items. The instruction printed is "Before Last Collection". That covers any time before the the last collection: it doesn't mean "just before the last collection time". So as long as it goes on the correct day of the week, that's fine.

Do you have a problem actually getting to a PO (with the first part of your post code) on the day? If so, you need to contact TNS for advice.

I've got one to send 'after 1pm but before final collection'. But on a Saturday. When the final collection is at 12. I despair of these people I really do.

  • I received my posting pack yesterday and also have the posting time slots again and the same as Casati I have 2 to post on a Saturday after 1 but final collection is 11.45am. I wouldn't mind but I had an email in the middle of October saying my time would be up in 2 weeks, then an email asking me to return all the SMARTS that I have, then I find I've got stuff to post in 2 weeks time. I don't know now whether I'm meant to have finished or not.
  • ive sent an email as i think its a joke to post something at the post office before 10am and 1 after 1pm. it costs to get to the post office each time

They used to do that a lot. You just post on the day and ignore the time if it is after last collection.

I thought they had done away with giving a time (because of the changes in how post may be collected from some post boxes) but it seems I was wrong.

Thanks to you and to MaShadow and Mrselliot for the correction of my understanding.

Post box last collection times are changing..

Royal Mail will shortly be changing the last collection time of approximately one third of post boxes. The last collection time for these boxes is being brought forward to 9am Monday to Friday and 7am on Saturday. These earlier collections will now be made as part of the postman or woman’s delivery round.

How will this affect the survey?

For postings due to be made from the 15th September, we have amended the posting schedules to take account of this change. The column headed “Time to post item” previously stated three different time bands in which to post any test item in a post box, or the cube and medium parcel over the counter at a Post Office. This will now be altered to say “Before last collection”. This change means that any test item can now be posted at any time during the day before the last collection time.
