its unfortunate that the training tab on the website is "under construction" at the moment....however if you scroll to the bottom of the news and features tab there is a little about smarts which might make it clearer to you...

hi, i recieved (and deleted) a message about an item from love film, i just presumed it would be a non r number item so didnt pay any attention to the instructions.......now i have the love film item but no sign of it on my yet to receive page.
could somebody tell me what the email said? very stupid of me i know but obviously i think i already know everything!

The love film items have r numbers on a small (disk sized) piece of paper in with the card 'disk', enter it as you would any other r numbered letter or parcel

Have you tried retrieving it from the Trash? Or has it gone from there too?

hi thank you, i didnt throw the letter away thankfully, i needed it i thought to enter my 033000333333 or such like!
you are indeed right, bottom right corner is the r number! i didnt even look tbh After seeing 33030. lesson learned! whilst im here....recieved a letter today with 2 stickers on, 2 r numbers & 2 postcodes, i used my r number to log it, should i email the other details? it wouldnt accept it when i put smart number in, i have to send it back, im guessing the other panelist got my smart.....but no r number.....and the date was written on the envelope, just cant get the staff!

Probably daft question, but was curious about how the Smarts work. Does anyone know. Are they activated when they reach the sorting office and pass through a specific machine with the other mail?

Phone TNS if that's convenient for you. If not, email them and give the details - both R numbers and the Smart details. Tell them you will send the Smart to them.

Well for starters there is no such thing as a sorting office.
Mail centres have scanners fitted to the loading bays/doors where mail passes through.
larger delivery offices have scanners where the mail passes through and callers offices.
