Got email notification that I am being "rested" for at least 6 months. Have been on the panel for over 2 years, won the daily prize 4 times and a have loads of stamps for my troubles. I feel I have been well enough rewarded and have enjoyed my extended stint on the panel.
  • I am on my first resting period, unsure how long for. Do I need to reapply to get back on the panel ?

At some point in the future you'll get an e-mail asking if you're interested in re-joining the panel so it's just a question of waiting a few months until they contact you.

If I have to post an item at the Post Office, do I have to go to the counter and give it or can I just stick it in one of the post boxes inside the Post Office?

Provided it will fit in a postbox then you should post it in the box outside the post office - you only hand items over the counter if they are too large for the postbox :)

You have the answer now but may I suggest you not only read the training material provided by TNS but also the Q&A which are in post #2 of this thread.
  • I think that was a viable query as my post office doesn't have a postbox inside or outside it. What do I do?
  • My local post office doesn't have a postbox, outside or inside.Just hand them in at the counter, that's what I do.

From post #2 (bold italics mine):
    Q) On the posting plan it say Post Office. Do I go in and had it over the counter?

    A) No, you never hand anything over the counter unless it does not fit into the post box outside e.g. Small Box.
Of course it can't fit in a postbox outside if there is no such box. Thus it can be handed over the counter, just as, presumably, all other post is handled.
