When you have a jiffy bag to post and it says to post at a post office.why is that if it would still fit into a normal post box?

The general consensus is that anything that will fit into a post box can be posted that way. I have posted all such items in the nearest post box, although that is close to the exterior of the post office.

Hi, please can someone translate this for me. The post box now has a red sticker saying that as from 15th September the last collection will be no later than 9 am mon-fri and 7 am on Saturdays. However it then says the last collection time will be as advertised as above. Which still says 5.30 pm. So I'm confused.
And if the last collection is so early does that mean I can post it the day before instead. I was going to contact TNS for clarification, but wanted to check first if anyone else has queried it and got a response?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I'm sure we'll get our instructions from TNS eventually, I'd say on 16th Sept at the earliest! :rotfl:I hope it's not in the format of another one of those annoying pop-ups.

    To check different collection services.

You can post it in the box outside the post office or use a box inside if there is one.

You do not need to hand it over the counter.

The sticker on mine says the last collection will be no earlier than 9am m-f or 7am sat & latest as shown (5.30pm or 12.30 on weekends) therefore they could collect it any time between 9 & 5.30 during the week. If I need to use that box I'll probably put it in late the night before or on the way to work so its there for the earliest possible last collection

I would have been happy if that had happened to me, small profit on the posting and then the 3 x £2 incentives for little more than walking round to the post office.

I have also been told that my time on the survey is due to finish shortly, but have been sent incentive stamps for September.

i really wouldnt mind if my post office wasnt so busy every time i have to use it! this is my second stint on the panel and ive found it more demanding than last time... this time around ive had to return unadressed mail in post paid envelopes, and send cubes etc.. im wondering what will come next ! Ive been asked to be on the permanent panel for the correctly delivered now, which im more than happy about as that has to be the easiest survey ever !:)

It requires you to post it at the post office.... not to queue up and hand it over the counter, but to post it in the box available inside, by the self service machine (if available), or the wall outside the p.o.... just needs to be sent from that location..
  • Just had an e-mail reminding panellists not to write posting details on envelopes. About time too; I was just about to report to them that one received item today had those details on it.

I've emailed them about it before and had another one with it written on yesterday, it was small but just so blatantly obvious if any staff saw it. Surely people could use post-it notes instead?
