Morning - anyone else having an issue with the online posting plan and sent items section? This is my third stint at the survey but I just have not come across this before.
I sat down last night to sort out my items received and new postings (and last week's too .. oops!). I noticed there were no smart numbers listed in the "smart numbers" column, even though some of the items say "associated" or "allocated" and when I click the ones that say "allocated" or "associated", it just asks me the usual "Did you prepare item number ..." rather than asking me to pick a smart from the list (there are several smarts in my stock). I didn't go any further with it as I didn't want to post something without a smart that should have had one, and then get told off :P It is the case for several items I have yet to post and I just haven't come across it before.
Also, I received an item and the system says the R number entered does not match an item - I am entering it exactly as it appears on the sticker! The only option it gives is to go back and re-enter the number, nothing else - strange - so I can do nothing with it. I can only assume the sender has mixed the item up with one they should have sent to someone else - it is a medium brown envelope with the address handwritten, but the sender has stuck two of the blank white labels to the front of it and written over the top of them - I can see other writing underneath. They must've changed the addressee on the outside but left the R number and smart meant for the other receiver inside.0 -
I have received an occasional item which, when logging it into the system has one of the pages which asksDo any of the following appear on the envelope / wrapper:
There are then 8 radio buttons with no text beside them apart from the last one which indicatesNone of the above items
Has anyone else seen this or could it be that this is something new which has not been set up properly?
Each time I have noticed this it appears to be an item from a Government organisation.0 -

On the received item has the R sticker got your postcode on it? If not the item was not intended for you and you need to contact them to let them know you have received it in error, you could ask about the other issue at the same time perhaps, I have 2 items to prepare for next week and both have smart numbers by them so I couldn't check that for you.:)"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

I can't believe it didn't even occur to me to check that! I blame this heat for making me dopey! :rotfl: You are right - not my postcode.
Thanks for your help - I'll send them an email this afternoon

Each time I have noticed this it appears to be an item from a Government organisation.
I've had quite of few of these lately, they are all from DVLA. I've found the number is usually printed around the area of your address that shows through the window envelope.0 -
"Do any of the following appear on the envelope / wrapper:"
When I've had these it's seems to be numbers they are looking (3447, that sort of thing) and there are 8 or 9 different ones to look out for. A couple of times I've missed the number initially then spotted it when I've looked more carefully.
I think the last time it was on one of the magazine wrappers.
If the numbers aren't showing up for you on the TNS website, you need to let them know. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
